Welcome!

My name is Jennifer Dewing.

I have played piano for the last 30+ years and I've been teaching for around 15+ years. I majored in Foreign Language Education along with a minor in music at New York University for my B.S. in 2008. I then returned to New York University for my M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2011.

Since the summer of 2015, I have served as the accompanist, the assistant musical director and most recently, the assistant director of the Senior High Theatre Arts program for the Farmingdale Youth Council. The program is a month long, where students from Grades 7-12 perform an original show with choreography, acting and singing. 

Currently, in addition to teaching piano, I am an accompanist for both the Community Singers of Queens and the New York Chinese Christian Choral Society in the Flushing/Fresh Meadows & Bayside areas.

When I am not accompanying choirs or teaching piano, I enjoy improvising and composing original pieces. Should I have any other free time, it is usually spent with my husband, Kevin, while we chase our two adorable munchkins, Liam and Kara.
