Welcome!

My name is Jennifer Dewing.

I have played piano for the last 30+ years and I've been teaching for 15+ years. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Foreign Language Education and a minor in music from New York University along with a Master's of Arts degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Since the summer of 2015, I have served as the accompanist, the assistant musical director and most recently, the assistant director of the Elementary & Senior High Theatre Arts program for the Farmingdale Youth Council.  

In addition to teaching piano, I am an accompanist for both the Community Singers of Queens and the New York Chinese Christian Choral Society in the Flushing/Fresh Meadows & Bayside areas.

When I am not accompanying choirs or teaching piano, I enjoy improvising and composing original pieces. Should I have any other free time, it is usually spent with my husband, Kevin, while we chase our two adorable munchkins, Liam and Kara.
